Klass and Elisabeth Hager
Froukje Hager was born in Achelum on 24th November 1903. Her parents were Klaas Hager and Elisabeth Wiersma Hager. Klaas and his brother Harmen were in management type positions with a brick making factory. Froukje had a sister named Zwaantje and a non-identical twin brother named Klaas. After settling in her new home in America, Froukje flew to Holland in the mid fifties to visit family. Her son Tamme also visited relatives in Holland, while serving in the armed forces in Germany. Her sister married a gentleman by the name of Peter Lantinga who later became a thorn in Froukje's side. During WWII he promised her many treats in return for turning Nazi and enrolling her children in the Nazi Youth Program, to which of course she refused.
